Training course on ecosystem-based adaptation measures in Bangkok

End of January 2017, a team from SYDRO visited Thailand to conduct a 3-day training course on ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) measures. Staff from the Department of Water Resources and the Royal Irrigation Department were trained on conceptualising and designing EbA measures and how to integrate these into water resources development. The training was part of a project in which SYDRO was commissioned to incorporate nature-based approaches and IWRM principles into a dam development project. Day one and two were shaped to demonstrate hydrological and hydraulic concepts complemented by practical exercises, while day three was prepared as a training for trainers. The event took place in the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Bangkok.
