Cairo Water Week is an international conference organized by the Egyptian ministry of water resources and irrigation every year in collaboration with national, regional, and international partners. The event is important for the water actors and stockholders around the globe to present and discuss key issues, polices, strategies.
During the fifth Cairo Water Week conference which was held from 16th October to 19th October 2022, Sydro’s Karim Soliman participated in the 3-minute thesis competition, where he explained his master thesis work in just 3 minutes. The thesis is titled “A framework for estimating the groundwater recharge and the potential impact of climate change in El-Qaa Plain, South Sinai, Egypt”. Karim got awarded the third prize and was honoured by the Egyptian minister of water resources and irrigation Prof. Dr. Hani Sweilam.
